A busy little bee

Nelson is always on the go these days.  There are so many new things to check out!  We went down to Jackson recently and got to see cousin Audrey and uncle John.  Nelson is now getting four teeth on the top.  And no matter where he is, he likes to explore!

Nice to meet you Audrey!

Sitting still just long enough for a picture with Dad

This is what he's usually like - on the go and drooling like crazy from those new teeth coming in.

He is often crawling along and then just stops and does a downward dog pose.

When he's tired, he buries his face in his blanket.  Just happened to catch a glimpse of his face here.

He pulls up at every opportunity

Hi Mom....

He loves bath time in his ducky tub!

Bike ride!

We took Nelson for his first bike ride tonight.  Mindy was nice enough to give us her bike trailer.  Nelson is still a little small, so we had to take it easy.  But he'll be bigger soon.  He's always up for an opportunity to be outside though.  Also, some pics from Grandma's house and the scooter she got him.  Wheels all around!

Helmet on, ready to go!

Thanks for hauling me around Papa!

Stopped in the park on the way home

Swinging is hilarious!

Hi Mom - look at me stand up!

9 months

Wow, another month!  Nelson is even more of a character these days at 9 months.  He's still doing his funny little crab crawl - but boy, he is fast!  He is also pulling himself up to standing and he loves to clap his hands.  He's making all sorts of noises and he's sleeping well through the night.  At grandma's house, his favorite toy right now is a beach ball that he chases all over the house.  Here are a few recent pictures.

Nelson & Auntie Andrea

He chews on anything possible - especially the pieces of his quiet book.

Looks like he's sticking out his tongue!

Uncle John let Nelson borrow his rugby ball - goes great with the All Blacks PJs!

Playing it cool

Hooray for rugby - and teeth :)

8 months

Nelson is 8 months old today!  He now says many different sounds and is quite mobile.  He's crawling - although he's using one knee and one foot to get around instead of both knees.  He can also get to a sitting position all on his own.  He's also started eating solid teething cookies and puffs, with his two new teeth.

Every little boy needs some overalls

Look close - you can see my two little teeth!

Hmmm - solid food huh?

I like it!

Downy hair + soft blanket = static fun!

His eyes are still pretty much steely blue - but starting to get some brown in the middle.

Mama loves Nelson!

happy boy

Here are a few recent, sweet pictures.  The hat is from Auntie Andrea.  And he still loves the outdoors - even looking at it through Grandma's window.  He's been more vocal lately too.  He now says "Da" and lots of "n" sounds: ney, nye,ni,ning(over and over).  He also has two little razor-sharp teeth poking through on his bottom gums.

7 months

Nelson just turned 7 months.  He's a regular character these days...

Wearing the Yoda hat that Priscilla made for him.

Cute, I am.

Grandma Martin brought this back from China for him.

Still a little big, but you can see the neat dragons on it here.

Nelson 2012

The New Year is off to a great start for Mr. Nelson.  It was a great start for mom and dad too - since Nelson had his first night away at Grandma's house.  He also had his first night alone with Daddy just last week - and Dad even got him to sleep through the night!  Nelson is now almost 7 months and just started saying his first consonant sounds this weekend, which were "ma ma ma maaaa".  It's winter, but he still loves to be outside.  Here are a few pics from recent outings and more.

Dad took Nelson out for a winter stroll - prepared for all the elements.

Just "chillin'"

Thanks for the new high chair Grandma & Grandpa!
