Christmas 2014

I figured better late than never to do a holiday post, but it's now been a while since Christmas.  Does Super Bowl Sunday count as the end of the holiday season?  Anyway, we had a great little Christmas.  Erik is at the really fun stage of running around, exploring, starting to talk, and generally trying to copy absolutely everything his brother does.  Nelson is so smart - I have to remind myself often that he is only 3 still.  So needless to say, the holidays are much fun with these two.

Nelson had a little Christmas program at school.  They acted out 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.  Nelson didn't have any lines, but made everyone laugh when he snickered "Sugar Plums!" out loud after that line was read.  He also wasn't bashful about pointing out his family to the crowd, "There's my Daddy, and there's my Uncle Jesus!"

Neither one was too happy to see Santa this year, which is especially surprising since Erik hangs out with "Santa" every day at school and LOVES him.  Oh well, good suit Santa. ;)  Nelson got everything he asked Santa for this year, so he must have been a good boy.  Especially the custom green bike with T-Rexes on it.  Good thing Santa has a friend that works in an auto-body shop that can do custom painting...  Erik, of course, was good as well and got spoiled even though he wasn't able to tell Santa any wishes.  And we feel spoiled to have such awesome boys.

Our attempt at a family Christmas picture

Nelson was Blitzen in his play.

Ok on Mommy's lap, NOT Santa's

Scared of Santa

Much better with Daddy, and a juice box and cookie...

Merry Christmas!

They were obsessed with the train again this year

Special Christmas morning breakfast: Rudolph pancakes

They were so good about passing out gifts to everyone - just about as fun as opening their own.  This one to Uncle Jesus.

Jesus's parents in Mexico always think of us and send something special for all of us.  This year, awesome colorful sweaters for the boys - how thoughtful!

    1. I know! I was actually really glad to see you were in the same boat as me. Always fun to look back at pics - even if it's been a while!
